… Hoi Sin Prawn & Noodle Bowls\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

It\u2019s Friday and I\u2019m cooking for my brother Gordy and my housemate Gavin.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I went shopping today for three meals (all of which include sea food of some sort, which often makes the shopping more difficult) and I have to make some puddings for church on Sunday and I did it all in just one supermarket.\u00a0 Well done Asda, again. \u00a0My least favourite supermarket to shop in, but it is proving to be the most resourceful and I think it is cheaper, generally.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I am cooking this one especially for my brother.\u00a0 He particularly likes steak. He particularly likes Asian food. And he particularly likes seafood.\u00a0 This meal has it all.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a fun meal to cook.\u00a0 There is quite a lot to do.\u00a0 Interestingly you get the steak on first.\u00a0 Well nearly first you get the nuts and sesame seeds toasting off first then you get on with the steak.\u00a0 I think this is so that, if you are that way inclined, you could actually cook the steak to death (figuratively, not literally, I know it is, in fact, already dead).<\/span><\/p>\n

My hob issues doesn\u2019t have too much effect on me tonight and for a while I thought I\u2019d finish with time to spare.\u00a0 There is quite a bit to bring together at the end and getting the noodles and other bits and bobs in the little bowls is more than a little bit fiddly.\u00a0 It\u2019s a little over the fifteen minutes in the end.\u00a0 But I\u2019m not too disappointed with this.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a really delicious meal.\u00a0 Really, really delicious.\u00a0 One of the best.\u00a0 Yet again, one of my favourites.\u00a0 I guess it\u2019s a little like an Asian surf and turf.\u00a0 You really ought to try this.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Gavin, the supposed vegetarian, eats more steak than anyone else.\u00a0 The steak is lovely.\u00a0 It is rubbed generously with salt, pepper and Chinese five spice.\u00a0 And it is lovely.\u00a0 I did slightly over cook it.\u00a0 Not over cook it, over cook it.\u00a0 But it was just that bit more cooked than I would have liked.\u00a0 Nevertheless absolutely lovely.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh and by the way I bought a new pan today.\u00a0 It\u2019s the blue one in the photographs.\u00a0 Nice, isn\u2019t it!<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s Cajun Prawns for lunch and Asian Sea Bass (bream actually) for dinner tomorrow.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
