… Pitta & Greek Salad\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

So my sisters coming for lunch today, with her boyfriend James and my brother has been here for the weekend.\u00a0 In all I\u2019m cooking for five and so I\u2019m gonna cook slightly more lamb and one more pitta.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I enjoyed the last kofte I made from this book (the beef kofte curry) and I\u2019m quite keen to cook this one.\u00a0 Basically I\u2019m making kebabs today.\u00a0 Relatively healthy kebabs, but kebabs none the less.\u00a0 Although I\u2019m slightly ashamed of this, I do like a kebab now and again.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There seems to be quite a bit to do and it is a fun dish to cook.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You need to bash up pistachios in a pestle and mortar.\u00a0 I have two.\u00a0 I grab the nearest one.\u00a0 It\u2019s the small white dainty one.\u00a0 After half a second I realise that this will be a slow job if I use this one.\u00a0 So I get my big manly granite pestle and mortar \u2026 it means more washing up for someone \u2026 not me \u2026 but it\u2019s much better and more importantly quicker.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end, just as the kofte is finishing off.\u00a0 You add the bashed pistachios with the honey.\u00a0 This is a little touch that is so delicious.\u00a0 It\u2019s adding these little things that make such a difference and this is such a good and simple idea.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a great little meal.\u00a0 Enjoyed by all.\u00a0 I highly recommend that you try this.\u00a0 After lunch it was off for a walk, followed by coffee and cake, followed by film \u2013 \u201cthe Silver Linings Playbook\u201d which I highly recommend as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
