This is one I have been looking forward too.\u00a0 I like squid.\u00a0 I like chorizo.\u00a0 I don\u2019t eat squid enough.\u00a0 I eat too much chorizo.\u00a0 I actually don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever cooked squid.\u00a0 You wouldn\u2019t know this from the authoritative way I answered question about how you should cook squid that either my brother or Gavin asked me during the cooking process.\u00a0 I think this is because I have read about cooking squid and watched it cooked on TV so many times I actually think I\u2019m an expert at cooking squid.\u00a0 I\u2019m not.\u00a0 But nevertheless it turns out pretty good.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I have to say I\u2019m not sure that this recipe is in the right order.\u00a0 You prepare the squid very early on in the process but its not cooked till much later on.\u00a0 After the squid is prepared you cut up the chorizo, then the peppers get them all cooking and on later, quite a bit later, the Squid goes in.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I had a few issues with this one.\u00a0 First, all the stuff that goes in the food processor to chop up which will end up in the couscous did not chop well at all.\u00a0 It took far too long and far too much messing around with having to move it all around with a spatula and the re-food process.\u00a0 Second when you fry peppers quite a bit of water comes out of them before the start to fry properly.\u00a0 Now at this point I have already spent quite a bit of time preparing my squid and not actually doing any cooking. By the time I have to add the squid I\u2019m not convinced that the chorizo and peppers have cooked enough.\u00a0 It\u2019s all just a bit watery.\u00a0 I\u2019m not really frying things.\u00a0 I knew I was in trouble because the recipe tells me to add the peppers and then after four minutes add the squid.\u00a0 When you are only putting the peppers in with four minutes to spare you know you\u2019re in trouble because there is no time for the finishing off, plating up etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the end it does take quite a bit of time over the fifteen minutes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nevertheless the meal tastes great.\u00a0 The portion size is just right.\u00a0 It\u2019s a meal for four and only three of us are eating.\u00a0 After we have all eaten our fill there is exactly \u00bc left. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
