\u2026 Mushy Peas and Tartare Sauce<\/span><\/h4>\n

Ever since getting the book this has been one of the meals I\u2019ve been most excited to cook.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been sort of saving it, I\u2019m not really sure why.\u00a0 But tonight\u2019s the night I cook it.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I have my friend Pieter staying over tonight so it\u2019s another excuse to cook a 15 minute meal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You put a potato in with the peas (or rather you start to cook the potato first and then add the peas).\u00a0 It seems a bit odd, but oh well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There weren\u2019t a lot of issues cooking this.\u00a0 It was all quite easy and I was relatively tidy while cooking it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The meal taste lovely.\u00a0 There is something quite comforting about eating a piece of fried breaded fish in a roll.\u00a0 I guess it\u2019s the whole fish finger sandwich thing. The fish baps were great.\u00a0 The fish has a bit of cayenne pepper sprinkled on it, before it\u2019s covered in the flour, which adds a nice little kick to the meal. The peas were really lovely (defiantly a recipe to remember) and the tartare sauce was great too. \u00a0There did seem to be a bit more tartare sauce than necessary.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The one thing I would say is that this is a bit of a lunch or light meal.\u00a0 Even with only three of us eating it we easily finished it all and could have eaten more.\u00a0 I think that it is good that the book has a few dishes that are more a lunch or light meal in their portion size, but the book doesn\u2019t point to this.\u00a0 So you\u2019re not really sure until you\u2019ve cooked it.\u00a0 (I have to admit that after we went out for a few beers, we did have a naughty kebab).<\/span><\/p>\n
