I had a feeling I might do this in under fifteen minutes.\u00a0 This one was the easiest to cook to date.\u00a0 No issues, or at least no issue until it came to serving.\u00a0 Everything was quick and simple.\u00a0 The pasta sauce was in the pan and simmering, pasta was boiling away, and the salad was on the table around the ten minute mark.\u00a0 This is the first meal where I was stood waiting around with nothing to do, while things cooked.\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Once the pasta was cooked it was drained and put back in its pan and the sauce added. \u00a0The sauce is quite liquidy.\u00a0 I had chosen a very large plate as my serving dish for the pasta.\u00a0 This was a mistake.\u00a0 The liquid form the sauce sloped all over the place.\u00a0 There was quite a bit split in and around the sink, down the cupboard door and on the floor.\u00a0 I should have used a large shallow bowl, instead.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0It was on the table, parsley sprinkled and Parmesan grated over in 14 minutes and twenty seconds.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This meal is great. \u00a0It wasn’t my favourite but in a lot of ways it\u2019s the best one yet.\u00a0 The pasta sauce is delicious, the fennel seeds and half a dried chilli give it a bit of interest.\u00a0 The salad is great and the very small amount of feta, just 20g, really lifts the whole thing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0This is a meal I really should cook often.\u00a0 It\u2019s just so full of good things and so tasty and easy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It was perfect I would say.<\/span><\/p>\n

By the way there are eight sections in the book (chicken \u2013 beef \u2013 pork \u2013 lamb \u2013 fish \u2013 soups and sarnies \u2013 veggie).\u00a0 Before I move on I want to cook one meal from each section.\u00a0 So there is just lamb and pork to go.\u00a0 Off to the shops now to get the stuff for the next three meals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
