So it\u2019s Thursday night.\u00a0 On Tuesday when I cooked the Beef Kofta Curry<\/a>, it was the eighth day in a row that I had cooked a 15 Minute Meal and I did nine meals in that eight day period.\u00a0 I did not cook one on Wednesday.\u00a0 My friend Hannah cooked dinner for me.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I was not back till late tonight.\u00a0 I had a meeting at work.\u00a0 Then an accident on my road home meant I had to drive the back roads home, which everyone else was doing so they were more than a little bit snarled up. Then there was shopping to do (in two supermarkets). And then dinner to cook.\u00a0 Cooking did not start until 21:30 ish.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have previously said that I have 115 meals<\/a> to cook.\u00a0 That may or may not be accurate.\u00a0 The book contains 119 meals, if you include the four smoothies.\u00a0 I discounted those.\u00a0 I will cook (make) them.\u00a0 And I will write about them.\u00a0 But I didn\u2019t count them.\u00a0 There is also a breakfast section.\u00a0 It contains twelve recipes.\u00a0 I have counted these.\u00a0 I will cook some of them for breakfast.\u00a0 But I cooked one of them for supper tonight.\u00a0 You cannot call a meal you eat after nine thirty at night dinner. I am not convinced that these really are fifteen minute meals.\u00a0 I can\u2019t see that they will take anything like fifteen minutes.\u00a0 But they\u2019re in the book and so they will be cooked.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On one page (page 248) there are four ways to cook avocado on toast.\u00a0 Tonight I cooked the second one.\u00a0 The first one requires you to cook a poached egg as well.\u00a0 I am both nervous and excited about that for reason I will tell you about when I get round to cooking that \u201cmeal\u201d.\u00a0 But that\u2019s not tonight.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To me cheese on toast and all its delightful variants is a great supper or late dinner, or occasionally a delightful dinner.\u00a0 This \u201cmeal\u201d was a revelation.\u00a0 It was so so good.\u00a0 I cooked it twice.\u00a0 It is a \u201cmeal\u201d for one.\u00a0 I cooked it for Gavin first and then I cooked it for me.\u00a0 Had I not been doing the project I would have probably cooked both together.\u00a0 But the recipe dictated that I cook this for one.\u00a0 So for one it was cooked. (Twice).<\/span><\/p>\n

Easy. Simple. Delicious. Great.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While I was cooking my one I was being distracted by sounds I can only describe as orgasmic from Gavin.\u00a0 Sounds, I have to admit, I repeated when I was eating my supper.<\/span><\/p>\n

Simply put, this was the antidote to a long and slightly annoying day.\u00a0 Perfection indeed.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I usually always have a bit of good strong cheddar in the fridge for these occasions.\u00a0 Now I will have to have an avocado as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You really must try this.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
