… Tomato Toasts, Watercress & Pea Salad\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

So I am moving and the second van load has been unloaded.\u00a0 It\u2019s time for some lunch. Left on the list to cook today is a frittata or a Greek salad.\u00a0 Debbie, who is helping with the move, gets to choose which.\u00a0 She chooses this and so this is what we have.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the first test of the new kitchen.\u00a0 Two immediate irritations.\u00a0 One of the rings on the hob doesn\u2019t work (the big one) and the main oven doesn\u2019t seem to work (the small one does).\u00a0 That\u2019s a job to sort out tomorrow.<\/span><\/p>\n

With this meal you grate the courgettes in the food processor and then squeeze the liquid out of them.\u00a0 There is an unbelievable amount of liquid that comes out.\u00a0 This is fried off a bit and then the egg mix is added.\u00a0 In the new kitchen I now have a sink next to the cooking area.\u00a0 This is a convenient place to chuck the broken eggs sells (all eight of them).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite my now using an electric hob, I get on quite well. My toast does not get quite as well cooked as Jamie\u2019s and I can only fit three bits in my griddle pan, not four.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There is a cool little salad with fresh peas, watercress and celery.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

First cooking in the new kitchen and I\u2019m done in under the fifteen minutes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a great meal.\u00a0 Really great.\u00a0 The frittata is absolutely lovely and so is the ciabatta and so is the salad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Gavin had to go to the dentist to have some teeth removed mid move and so he isn\u2019t actually able to eat it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Anyway back to moving.\u00a0 Hopefully just one more van.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
